The compact and intelligent motor management system is optimized for use in motor control centers (MCC) in withdrawable version. It offers the possibility of implementing all important control functions, e.g. for pole-changing starters orslide valve control, and functions independently of the automation system. All important functions are already integrated: it provides an extensive range of inputs/outputs, voltage and power recording, fail-safe shutdown of motors, precise ground fault detection via the 3UL23 residual-current transformers and temperature measurement via 1-wire sensors. Further functions are under development that will be made available free of charge in firmware updates. The communication link via Ethernet is optionally achieved via PROFINET, EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP. OPC UA additionally allows data to be supplied to HMI panels, SCADA systems and cloud-based systems. Worldwide approvals (e.g. IEC and UL/CSA), also for applications in hazardous areas (ATEX or IEC Ex) are available or under development. Use with IE3/IE4 motors is supported. The SIMOCODE ES (TIA Portal) software is available for the configuration, commissioning, operation and diagnostics of SIMOCODE pro. The SIMOCODE M basic units are available with 24 V DC or110-240 V AC/DC control supply voltage. The operation requires at least one current/voltage measuring module and a matching connecting cable, e.g. 3UF793. These, as well as an optional operator panel, are available separately.
